Current Projects

We are currently working on various types of personal injury matters including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, products liability and police misconduct. At present, we represent our injury clients of one form or the other in more than 50 separate projects. We are also representing many clients who are either going through a divorce or trying to resolve other family law matters including paternity, child custody, visitation, spousal support and other family law issues both before and after a formal divorce proceeding.

This month we would like to highlight and share three of our most interesting cases where we proudly serve as Plaintiff’s lead counsel to our clients:

JAMES V. CITY OF EUSTIS, FLORIDA – POLICE MISCONDUCT/ WRONGFUL DEATH

We have commenced litigation on behalf of a 9 year old client now living with his grandmother. Two years ago, his mother and father were brutally murdered by a Eustis, Florida police officer who, in a jealous irrational rampage murdered his own wife, our client’s mother and father and then killed himself. This all occurred while the killer’s wife was visiting the home of our client’s parents. As fate would have it, our client’s grandmother was visiting at the time and managed to save herself and her grandson during the killing spree.

Our pre-suit investigation substantiated that the Eustis Police Department knew of this officer’s marital problems and certain threats made by the officer yet did nothing. We have retained an expert who is of the opinion that many things could and should have been done by the City of Eustis which more likely than not would have prevented the tragedy from occurring. We have made a demand of $15,000,000 in damages to settle this case.

LAZARRI V. TRI-COUNTY TRANSPORT – AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT/ WRONGFUL DEATH

We have filed a lawsuit on behalf of a 53 year old widower whose wife of several years died after an automobile accident caused by the negligence of a limousine at the Fort Lauderdale airport. Although our client’s wife had cancer at the time of the accident, her doctor has confirmed that she would have lived at least five or more years had the accident not happened and that the accident substantially contributed to her death. We have made a demand of $1,000,000 in damages to settle this case.

ZYRMONT V. GOOGLE – COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

We are in the initial stages of this legal matter involving an author’s claim of significant infringement against Google. Our initial investigation confirmed that the author’s work including five entire novels were placed on the internet by the giant search engine which anyone could read without charge. A similar class action was recently successful against Google by a group of other authors which did not include our client. We have requested that Google pay our client the sum of $2,500,000 to settle the case and avoid protraced litigation.
